Hishon Becker Shoes Attacker Of The Week
February 23, 2009 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack named sophomore forward Joey Hishon the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the second straight week ending February 23rd, 2009.
On Wednesday evening, the Attack hosted the 7th place Sarnia Sting. Hishon took the team on his back in the first five minutes, popping in his 29th and 30th goals of the season and finished the game with an even rating.
After a 6-0 loss in Guelph on Friday evening, Hishon and the Attack looked to bounce back against the high octane Brampton Battalion on Saturday. Two goals by former Battalion forward Mike Lomas made it 2-1 Attack at the end of the first and then it was all Hishon and the Attack. Hishon tallied 3 goals (31,32,33) and 1 assist to help lead the Attack to a much needed 6-3 victory.
Hishon finished the week with 5 goals, 1 assist, an even rating and now sits 8th in league scoring with 73 points in 58 games.
The Attack is back in action this Friday evening when they visit the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. All the action can be heard with Fred Wallace on Bear Radio, 560 CFOS.
