On Tuesday afternoon General Manager Jim Hulton announced a trade with the Drummondville Voltigeurs that acquired 2004-born defenseman Lane Hinkley in exchange for Beren Simard-Sancy and a 2025 3rd-round pick.
Hinkley, a Moncton, New Brunswick native, was drafted in the 1st round (16 overall) of the 2020 QMJHL draft by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan before being traded to Drummondville in 2022. Hinkley has suited up for 104 regular season QMJHL games and has 2 goals and 20 assists while boasting a +20 player rating.
