
Hillcats to Host Fourth of July Celebration at City Stadium

Lynchburg, Va. - The Lynchburg Hillcats are excited to once again host one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in Central Virginia, when the Hillcats take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks, A-Adv. affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the gates opening at a special time of 4 p.m. The Sandbar Band, a Jimmy Buffett cover band, will be live at City Stadium performing from 4 p.m. until approximately 6:15 p.m.
After the game, fans will enjoy a special Independence Day fireworks show, presented by Kroger and Westover Dairy.
Fans are encouraged to arrive to the ballpark early, as a capacity crowd is expected. Select tickets are still available, but the Hillcats are anticipating a sellout of more than 5,500 fans for the 12th consecutive year.
In addition to the Independence Day festivities, it will also be Winning Wednesday at City Stadium. Any fan who attends the game automatically wins by receiving a free ticket to the following Wednesday's home game, presented by WNRN.

The Lynchburg Hillcats are the Advanced-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Hillcats are eight-time Carolina League Champions, having most recently won the Mills Cup Championship in 2017. The Hillcats play their home games at City Stadium, which has been home to Minor League Baseball in Lynchburg since 1963.
