THE HILLCATS: Lynchburg beat Myrtle Beach 7-1 last night to even their four-game series at BB&T Coastal Field at a game a piece...Tonight the Cats play the third game of this four-game set and game six of a seven-game road trip that will complete a stretch of 13 out of 17 on the road...They are now 2-3 on the current Southern Division swing...

VS. MYRTLE BEACH: The Hillcats are 9-6 against the Pelicans thus far this season and are 5-4 on the Grand Strand...Last year the Pelicans took the season series 13-7...Lynchburg was 6-6 against the Birds until they lost seven in a row to drop the series...Myrtle Beach has the all-time advantage in the series 115-99, and they are 63-47 at home...

DEJA VU: On Wednesday in a day game on the road in a series finale, the Hillcats starter (LHP Justin Wilson) allowed just one run on one hit (a home run) and the Cats eventually lost 2-1 in walk-off-fashion...Exactly one week earlier in a day game on the road in a series finale, the Hillcats starter (LHP Jeff Locke) allowed one run on one hit (a home run) and the Cats eventually lost 2-1 in walk-off fashion...Wednesday's loss was at Kinston and last Wednesday's loss was at Wilmington...

ALL OVER AGAIN: Lynchburg led 3-1 on Thursday night until Myrtle Beach plated seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning...They led 1-0 through five innings on Tuesday night before Kinston scored 12 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning...The K-Tribe had not scored a run in the first 14 innings of the series before they put up the biggest inning of the season against the Hillcats this season...It was the second most runs scored in an inning ever against the Cats, second only to the 13 runs the Tribe scored in the second inning on June 19th, 2008...The huge frame led to the most runs scored (15), the most hits (19), and the biggest deficit (12) against the Cats all season long...Kinston had the first 11 men reach and score with still no outs recorded in the inning...The K-Tribe brought 15 men to the plate in the inning and hit two grand slams...

GOT YOUR BACK: RHP Ronald Uviedo piggybacked on th start of RHP Nate Adcock last night...The two flip flopped roles from their last outing...Uviedo made his first relief appearance of the season and tossed four scoreless innings to record the save...It was the 29th save of his career...Prior to this season 104 of his 116 career appearances were in relief...Adcock made his first start as a Hillcat and allowed just one run in five innings of action to earn the win...In two appearances with Lynchburg Adcock has two wins...

LATE BLOOMER: OF Jared Keel went 2-for-4 last night with a homer, two RBI and a run scored...His 10 home runs makes him the active team leader for the Hillcats...He has hit in four straight games and over that stretch 6-for-15 (.400) with a pair of long balls, five RBI and three runs scored...In August of last season he batted .320 with eight dingers, 18 RBI and 21 runs scored in 24 games...

MINE! MINE! MINE! OF Alex Presley went 1-for-4 with a triple and a run scored last night...He regained the top spot in the Carolina League in the category with nine triples on the season...UTIL Jose De Los Santos is tied for fourth in the circuit with five and the Hillcats are first in the league with 34 three-baggers on the season

WONDERFUL WILLIE: LHP Justin Wilson allowed just one run on one hit in five innings of work on Wednesday at Kinston...The run scored on the lefty in the first inning stopped a streak of 15 and 1/3 innings without allowing a run...He has gone five innings or more in six of his last seven starts after he got through five innings just five times in his first 14 outings...In his last six starts the former Fresno State Bulldog is 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA (six earned runs in 31 and 1/3 innings)...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: LHP Richard Sullivan was selected in the 11th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft by the Braves out of Savannah College of Art & Design...His final year with the Bees he went 7-4 with a 2.36 ERA in 16 games (14 starts)...The southpaw made his professional debut last year with the Short Season Low-A Danville Braves and had a 2-0 record with a 1.40 ERA in four starts before his promotion to Low-A Rome, where he went 2-2 with a 2.80 earned run average in eight starts...Sullivan began the year back in Rome and posted a 4-1 record with a 3.71 ERA in five starts before his call-up to Myrtle Beach...In 14 starts with the Pelicans he has gone 2-9 with a 4.17 ERA...He has made two starts against Lynchburg, going 0-2 with a 5.54 ERA...He has lost eight straight games, tied for the longest losing streak in the Carolina League this season...
