Game Highlights
Q1 Highlanders 26 Lightning 25
The Highlanders took to the court Sunday afternoon against the reigning NBL Canada champions, the London Lightning. Tanner Giddings played in his first game at home with the Highlanders. Both teams were slow to put up points early but stayed in stride with each other the entire quarter, ending with the Highlanders leading by one.
Q2: Highlanders 51 Lightning 52
The Highlanders played well to start the 2nd quarter. It was a physical contest, as both teams were finding points inside the paint. The Lightning would not let the Highlanders extend their lead, eventually taking it back midway through the quarter. The lead was exchanged several times in the final minutes before halftime, resulting in a Lightning lead at the break.
Q3: Highlanders 77 Lightning 76
Neither team could take over in the third, as the lead continued to be exchanged several times throughout the quarter in a tight defensive game.
Q4: Highlanders 102 | Lightning 104
The Highlanders and the Lightning could not have played in a tighter game, with both teams making good plays on either side of the court. It was tense the entire quarter, and a Lightning 3-pointer with only 3.4 seconds remaining on the clock gave London the win in Sydney.
