
High School, Youth League Coaches Invited to Storm Clinic

SEATTLE, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 - The Seattle Storm invites high school and youth league basketball coaches to a free clinic featuring Storm Head Coach Brian Agler, University of Washington Women's Basketball Head Coach Tia Jackson and Shoreline Community College Men's Basketball Head Coach Butch Estes, from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 6 at the FurtadoCenter, 490 Fifth Ave. N., in Seattle.
Agler, in his second year as head coach of the Storm, was the architect of the best defensive team in the WNBA last season. Jackson came to the Husky women's program in 2007, after serving as an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth, Stanford, UCLA and Duke. Estes, who is in his first year with Shoreline, has more than 30 years coaching experience at the college/university level; most recently as assistant coach at Seattle University.
The clinic is open to all youth coaches, but is geared to the high school skill level. Pre-registration is required for the event, which will feature a special appearance by WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes. Space is limited. To register, visit www.storm.wnba.com.
