Connecticut Sun To Participate In 5th Annual Healthy Habits Showcase

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (November 13, 2008) - The Connecticut Sun and team mascot Blaze will be participating in the 5th annual Healthy Habits Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Uncas Ballroom at Mohegan Sun.

Admission to the event is free, which features the Kidz Safety & Wellness Trail, and will feature a variety of demonstrations and events. It is a way for adults and seniors to learn about and understand the latest trends in health care and wellness as well and inform children and teens about nutrition, exercise and healthy living. The Sun will provide a prize for every child that completes the Trail.

"We are very excited to be able to participate in the Healthy Habits Showcase and to have Blaze interact with visitors," said Gwendolyn Pointer, Sun director of marketing. "This is a great cause, and is an excellent way to help educate people about the importance of keeping healthy."
