
High Powered Offense Looks to Keep Momentum in Home Opener

The Iowa Barnstormers started off the 2021 season on the road with a with a dominant win over the Sioux Falls Storm.
It saw the team put up 56 points, including seven touchdowns by the offense, en route to a 20-point, runaway win to open the season at 1-0.
The offense, lead by IFL Player of the Week Daquan Neal, will return to Wells Fargo Arena for the first time since 2019 to battle the Duke City Gladiators. The heralded franchise is playing its first game as a member of the Indoor Football League.
Iowa will be looking to light up the scoreboard.
The Barnstormers saw three receivers corral touchdowns in their first week of action including a 128-yard, 3-touchdown line from newcomer Drew Mahoney. Mahoney will double as a kick returner for the team as well.
Along with the standout quarterback in Neal, wideout Connor Hollenbeck will return to The Well for a second season with the team. He grabbed 70 yards and a touchdown on Saturday.
The receiving corps is rounded out by another newcomer in Beau Tanner, who caught two touchdown passes a weekend ago as well.
The Barnstormer defense and special teams units are also off to a hot start.
CJ Thornton put up nine tackles in Iowa's first game and helped the team hold Sioux Falls to 36 points in the game. Meanwhile, Nathan Criswell ended the night with a perfect 8-8 mark on extra points.
As they storm back to the arena they've called home for 13 years, Iowa will kick off another home season this Saturday, May 22.
Saturday's game will kick off at Wells Fargo Arena at 7:05 p.m. Doors will be open for fans attending the game at 6:00 p.m. For those not able to make it to the game, the action can be seen live on YouTube on the Indoor Football League's YouTube page.
