High Point Rockers News Release
HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point Rockers and the Long Island Ducks had their game suspended on Sunday afternoon when inclement weather stopped play on the field. The Rockers were trailing the Ducks 7-1 at the time.
The game will be continued on Sept. 15 at Long Island during the Rockers' final road trip of the regular season.
Zander Wiel put the Rockers up 1-0 in the second when he blasted his 20th home run of the season, a solo shot to left field. The Ducks then scored five runs in the third and had scored two more in the top of the fourth when the rain came. The game will be continued from that point next month.
The Rockers will have the day off on Monday and then begin a three-game homestand with the Staten Island FerryHawks on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. at Truist Point.
