High Desert Mavericks News Release
ADELANTO, Calif. - The First-Half South Division Champion High Desert Mavericks, Advanced-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced today the procedure for purchasing tickets for the 2016 California League South Division Finals games at Heritage Field. Starting Monday, July 25, at 10:00 A.M., the Mavericks will be selling tickets for the September 10 and 11 playoff games. The Mavericks clinched a spot in the 2016 playoffs after finishing on top in the South Division at the end of the First-Half in June and their Magic Number to win the California League is six.
"For the second straight season, YOUR Mavericks are in the post season," exclaimed General Manager Ben Hemmen. "This team, full of 'top 25' Texas Rangers prospects, worked very hard to win the first half and we encourage everyone in the High Desert to support them as they seek our first California League Championship since 1997."
On Saturday, September 10, the game will start at 6:35 P.M. with gates opening at 5:30 P.M. After the conclusion of Saturday's game, there will be a Skyrocket Saturday FIREWORKS show. Mavericks' playoffs tickets for Saturday are $6.00 for any seat at Heritage Field. For groups of 10 or more, tickets will be sold at $4.00 per ticket and fundraising tickets are also available for non-profit organizations with tickets costing $3.00 (50 minimum) which can then be resold for $6.00. Both games on Saturday and Sunday include Post-Game Jack in the Box Kids Run the Bases.
For Sunday, September 11, the game will start at 5:05 P.M. with gates opening at 4:00 P.M. That day marks the 15th Anniversary of September 11, 2001. In honor of those who lost their lives, those who first responded and those who continue to serve, all tickets will be $6.00 with $3.00 of every ticket sold going to charity. More information about the 15th Anniversary 9/11 Community Event being planned for Heritage Field will be released prior to or on Monday, August 1.
Additionally, the Mavericks announce a Magic Six mini-plan, where fans can purchase any six games throughout the rest of the 2016 regular season and receive tickets to all playoffs games that occur at Heritage Field for $48.00. That is a potential savings of almost $50.
The California League Best-of-5 South Division Finals begins on Saturday, September 10, with the first two games at Heritage Field and two (if necessary) at the Mini-series Winner. If a game five is needed, it will be hosted by the team with the best overall record. The Best-of-3 Mini-series to determine who will play the Mavericks in the Division Finals starts Wednesday, September 7.
Mavericks' playoffs tickets can be purchased through the Heritage Field Box Office in person, online at HDMavs.com, or over the phone by calling 760-246-6287. The box office is open weekdays Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and game days 10:00 A.M. until the 7th Inning.
