CHESTER, Pa. (February 16, 2010)- Philadelphia Union, the expansion Major League Soccer club, announce the commitment of two new corporate sponsors, Herr Foods Inc and SCA Tissue North America for 2010 and beyond. Both are multi-year relationships.

Herr's products will be recognized as the "Official Salty Snack of the team and stadium" and SCA's Tork products as the "Official Paper Provider of the team and stadium".

"This combination of Herr's, an incredibly strong regional snack food brand and SCA, a leading international company, with a recognized commitment to products that are environmentally friendly, is a great one-two punch to start off the new year," said Philadelphia Union President Tom Veit. "It's indicative of the corporate community's growing appreciation for MLS and Philadelphia Union specifically, both near and far, as we continue to expand our brand."

Herr's vast and varied array of snack foods will be offered exclusively at the club's stadium, currently under construction in Chester, Pa. The family-owned-and-operated company is yet another local and regional company making a strong commitment to the first year organization.

"At Herr's, we have a history of working together with the pro teams our customers and our employees cheer for," reflected Ed Herr, President of Herr's Foods. "We've seen the growth of soccer in the Delaware Valley from the grass roots on up and know that Philadelphia Union will be a part of pro sports here for a long, long time to come.

SCA and its Tork brand are global leaders in the hygiene and tissue products. Their products and dispensers -napkins, paper towels, and tissues-will be the only ones used throughout the stadium in washrooms and all food service applications.

"Soccer is the world's sport and to have an international leader in their industry like SCA on board, that understands the power of the game, is very important to us," said Tom Veit.

"We're proud to support the Philadelphia Union as the team and stadium's Official Paper Provider," said Don Lewis, President SCA Tissue North America. "The Philadelphia Union shares our strong commitment to environmental responsibility, and we're pleased the team has chosen our 100% recycled Tork products for its new stadium."

Philadelphia Union's first-ever First Kick will take place March 25, 2010 vs. Seattle Sounders FC at Seattle's Qwest Field. The club's home opener will be April 10, 2010 vs. D.C. United at Lincoln Financial Field.
