Here Today, NHL Tomorrow for Former Spirit Defenseman Dalton Prout

It will be a memorable night for former Saginaw Spirit rearguard Dalton Prout as he is expected to make his NHL debut Saturday in Minnesota against the Wild. Prout will be recalled from the Blue Jackets AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons, in time for tomorrow's contest at the Xcel Energy Center.

In 41 games played in Springfield this season, The LaSalle Ontario native has recorded three goals and has added four assists to go along with 41 penalty minutes. Last season, Prout was acquired from the Barrie Colts and in 29 games with the Spirit posted 2-8-10 totals, and added two goals in Saginaw's playoff drive.

The OHL West Division Champion Saginaw Spirit are celebrating ten years of Spirit hockey in the Great Lakes Bay Region this season, and fans are invited to join in on the excitement! This week the Spirit will be on home ice at the Dow Event Center for two games Friday, February 10 vs. Erie and Saturday, February 11 vs. Sault Ste. Marie. Both games are 7:11 starts and both games will be Spirit Player Magnet Giveaway nights.
