June 29, 2009 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Potomac Nationals News Release
WOODBRIDGE, VA - "When Lou Gehrig made his farewell address on July 4, 1939 at Yankee Stadium™, America became painfully aware of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Now, to mark the 70th anniversary of his farewell address, Major League Baseball® and Minor League Baseball™ are helping to support four ALS organizations, including The ALS Association, to raise awareness of ALS.
And to help raise money, the Potomac Nationals are partnering with The ALS Association to support the Covering All the Bases® Hitting Challenge. Please copy and paste the link below to learn how you can root for the Potomac Nationals when we play the Frederick Keys on July 4th and join the fight against Lou Gehrig's Disease."
