Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced today the signing of forward Tyler Ruegsegger.

Ruegsegger finished the 2011-12 season on the Heat roster after playing 47 games with the Alaska Aces (ECHL) where he recorded 13 goals and 25 points. Ruegsegger's time with the Heat was cut short, however, due to an injury sustained after just four games. The 24-year-old graduate of the University of Denver played prep school hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's and was drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
