
Penguins Recall Payerl from Nailers

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Adam Payerl from loan to the Wheeling Nailers.
Payerl spent the 2011-12 season with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League, setting career highs with 22 goals, 47 points and 106 penalty minutes over 61 games. The 21-year old finished third on the Bulls in both assists (25) and points (47) and was fourth in goals (22).
Payerl signed an amateur try-out agreement with the Penguins on Apr. 10, registering an assist over two appearances.
A native of Kitchener, Ontario, Payerl split five OHL seasons between Belleville and the Barrie Colts. In 302 career regular-season contests, Payerl recorded 58 goals, 82 assists, 140 points and 299 penalty minutes. He added a goal and three assists in 16 career postseason games.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins open the 2012-13 regular season on the road against the Binghamton Senators on Saturday, October 13 at 7:05 P.M.
The Penguins take the ice for their home opener on Saturday, October 20 at 7:05 P.M. against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Season tickets for the Penguins' 14th season in the American Hockey League are on sale now, and available by calling (570) 208-PENS.
