HARRISBURG, PA - The Harrisburg Heat's 2nd annual jersey auction raised $2,500 Saturday night to benefit PinnacleHealth's Children's Resource Center.

The auction took place immediately after the Heat's 12-5 loss to Chicago in their final home game at the Equine Arena of the State Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. The Heat, who have three road games remaining in the regular season, will move down the hall and into the Farm Show's Large Arena next fall when they begin their third season in the Professional Arena Soccer League.

The red-and-black home jersey of forward Chris Hall brought the highest bid at $400, followed by the jerseys of defender Val Teixeira ($275) and forward Tom Mellor ($250).

The Heat's jersey auctions for charity have now raised more than $9,500. Last year's jersey sales benefitted breast cancer awareness and military veterans.

In a separate silent auction held during the game, the jersey of former Heat defender and captain Jason Hotchkin sold for $750 with the money raised going to Hotchkin's on-going care after he was shot multiple times and critically injured last summer in suburban Philadelphia.
