SALTILLO, MX--The Sockers opened a two-game Mexican weekend road trip with a 12-4 victory over the Saltillo Rancho Seco at Deportivo RSS in the capital seat of Coahulia. San Diego was led by Kraig Chiles' career-best tying nine point night, recording four goals and a career-best five assists. Brian Farber added a hat trick as the Sockers (10-3) tuned up for Sunday afternoon's showdown with the Monterrey Flash.

"Credit to Saltillo, their field was in terrific shape and it was a great atmosphere for a game tonight," said Chiles, who moved into the PASL scoring lead with 49 points, "We were ready to play and came out strong. By the end we were resting our legs because we've got a big game (tomorrow)."�

Converting a pair of first quarter power plays, San Diego built a 4-0 lead after fifteen minutes, with Chiles tallying twice along with Farber and Chiky Luna (two goals, assist). Chiles finished his hat trick in the second quarter then began a string of assists, helping on the Sockers' next five goals.�

The Sockers pushed out to a 10-2 lead early in the fourth quarter and closed the game out behind Chiles' 30th goal of the year and Chad Hagerty's second. Raymundo Reza (SDSU) scored his eleventh goal and assisted twice. Chris Toth (9-3) made fourteen saves in goal for the victory. An own goal was the only black mark on the Sockers' sheet for the night.

The Sockers meet the Monterrey Flash (12-2) on Sunday evening at Arena Monterrey, where a crowd of over 6,000 is expected for the second meeting of the year between two PASL title favorites. Kickoff is set for 3:05pm San Diego time.
