ABBOTSFORD BC - Andre Benoit scored a strange goal at 18:27 of the third period to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 2-1 win over the Abbotsford Heat on Friday night in Abbotsford.

Mike Glumac scored the only goal of the first period, while Cam Cunning replied on a Heat power play to tie things up in the second period.

Benoit's goal came in a highly competitive third period, with both teams trading scoring chances. A shot from the left point by Benoit careened off a Heat defender and past the startled Heat net minder David Shantz for the game winning goal.
