Healey and Donatelli Join U.S. National Arena Soccer Team

Baltimore, MD - T he U.S. National Arena Soccer Team defeated El Salvador 9-3 in front of over 3,500 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario on Tuesday night. The win clinched a quarterfinal berth for the United States (2-0-0), who will play for the Group A championship Wednesday night in San Diego. Pat Healey and Tony Donatelli of the Blast will be joining the team tonight coming from the MASL Championship Series.

Healey will join the USA defense coming off a season in which he was named MASL Defensive Player of the Year. He led the league with 53 blocked shots while also leading the Blast with 22 assists in the regular season. Healey also recorded 2 assists in the playoffs and 1 game tying goal while shutting down some of the best scorers in the MASL.

Donatelli will join the USA team at forward for team USA. Donatelli led the Blast in points in both the regular season (35) and postseason (8).

Both Healey and Donatelli were very durable this season making appearances in every Blast game. They look to continue their successes and help team USA win the 2015 WMF World Cup.

The United States team travels to San Diego now for the third game of the Group A round robin, taking on Czech Republic (1-0-1) for the Group A championship at 8pm PST from the Valley View Casino Center. The Czechs defeated Kazakhstan 7-3 in earlier Group A action.

The quarterfinals will be Friday in Tulsa and the semi-finals and finals are Saturday and Sunday in Chicago.
