Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce that goaltender Chad Alban has reportedly has signed with Hammarby IF in Sweden.

According to eurohockey.net Alban, who resigned with the K-Wings on June 23, 2004, has signed a tryout agreement with the Hammarby IF this morning.

Chad has not contacted team officials to confirm this report. The only thing team officials can confirm, is that Chad missed a previously scheduled team appearance for this afternoon. Effective immediately the search for his replacement will begin.

The K-Wings will have a further response to this issue when more information becomes available.

The K-Wings will start the 2004-05 season when they travel to Fraser, Michigan to play the inaugural game for the Motor City Mechanics.

Season Tickets for the 2004-05 season of Kalamazoo Wings hockey are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Box Office. Fans can save 15% by purchasing their season tickets for next season by paying in full by September 30th. Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
