Head Coach 'Tata' Martino, Yedlin, Busquets, Farías and Campana Named to MLS Team of the Matchday

Inter Miami CF head coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, defender DeAndre Yedlin, midfielders Sergio Busquets and Facundo Farías, and forward Leonardo Campana have been named in the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 31 of the 2023 MLS regular season. The four players and head coach earn Team of the Matchday honors after their influential roles in the team's 3-2 win at home over Sporting Kansas City this past Saturday.

Martino leads a Team of the Matchday for the second time since taking over the team in the summer; the honor comes after guiding the team to a third win in four MLS regular season fixtures. Martino has helped the team achieve its ongoing Club-record 12-match unbeaten run, most recently guiding it to the win over Kansas City at DRV PNK Stadium.

Yedlin earns a spot in the starting XI for his first Team of the Matchday selection this regular season after his influential performance both in defense and attack in the win against Sporting KC. Donning the team's captain's armband on the night, the right-back assisted Campana for Inter Miami's second goal of the match to register his fourth assist this regular season and sixth across all competitions, while also finishing with a 79.5% pass completion rate and registering an interception.

Busquets also earns Team of the Matchday honors for the first time after a masterclass performance pulling the strings in midfield. The legendary Spanish midfielder secures a spot in the starting lineup after recording his second MLS assist on the play for the team's third goal on Saturday's win; he cleverly got the ball back into play quickly from a free kick opportunity near the halfway line to send a through ball into space for Farías on the right wing.

Farías is the last debutant among the Club's representatives on the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 30, with the young Argentine also being amongst the starters after putting in a dynamic shift in attack to help Inter Miami defeat Sporting KC at DRV PNK Stadium. The versatile midfielder notched his second MLS goal after bagging the team's third and last goal in the game in the 66th minute, while also registering four shots.

Lastly, Campana features in the Team of the Matchday starting XI after starring in attack in the 3-2 win. The Ecuadorian striker scored a first-half brace to take his tally to seven goals this MLS regular season, converting from the spot in the 25th minute and scoring his second on the night with a header in the 45th minute. This is the third time the forward features in a Team of the Matchday this regular season.
