New York City FC News Release
New York City Football Club is pleased to confirm that forward Mounsef Bakrar has been awarded Etihad's Player of the Month for August.
The Algerian played three times in MLS for NYCFC in August and built on a bright start to his NYCFC career with his performances in August.
Having already found the net in Leagues Cup, Bakrar secured his first MLS goal during the 2-0 victory against CF Montréal. His smart run in behind was matched with a composed finish to double NYCFC's advantage on the night.
A hard working forward that is constantly threatening in behind, Bakrar's performances helped NYCFC secure a big three points in August, earning him the Etihad Player of the Month.
A worthy winner, the Club would like to congratulate Mounsef on this achievement.
