Head Coach Miller to Resign

Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols announced that General Manager & Head Coach Steve Miller has resigned from his position.

"I want to thank the Madison Capitols for this opportunity, but I've decided to return to Colorado and pursue other interests at this time," Miller said. "We've built a good foundation for the team in the past six months and wish the Capitols organization nothing but success moving forward."

"The Madison Capitols really appreciate the work that Steve Miller put forward within the organization," said Capitols Managing Partner Tom Garrity. "Steve is a first-class person both on and off the ice, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."

Miller was officially announced as the Capitols' head coach on October 22, 2013. Prior to his time with the Capitols, Miller spent the previous 20 years as an assistant & associate head coach with the University of Denver Pioneers.

The process for naming a new coach is ongoing.

"Our new head coach and general manager will be announced within the next week," said Garrity.
