Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa-Waterloo Black Hawks fans traveled hundreds of miles to support their team over the weekend during Games Three and Four of the Clark Cup Finals, but they weren't allowed to bring their cowbells to the rink in Indianapolis.
Although cowbells were banned at Pan Am Arena, Waterloo fans still managed to cheer the team to the vital road victory against the Indiana Ice, a win which has precipitated tomorrow's winner-take-all Game Five.
"Let there be no doubt, cowbells are welcome and encouraged in Party Town on Tuesday," said Black Hawks Vice President Mike Falk. "Our traveling fans helped us extend the series, and our home fans can make a difference tomorrow. We need them to be loud."
Fans in possession of a cowbell at Young Arena on Tuesday evening will receive a "More Cowbell" sticker, while supplies last.
