Idaho Stampede News Release
BOISE, Idaho, April 15, 2009 - Idaho Stampede Head Coach Bryan Gates became the first coach in franchise history to reach 100 regular season wins as the Stampede defeated the Bakersfield Jam in Boise on Friday night.
During his ninth overall season with the Stampede, Gates led the team to 31-19 and has an overall record as Head Coach of 100-51 during the regular season, a (.662) winning percentage.
"I am thrilled I was able to accomplish this with the Stampede and with our team this season," said Gates. "Without the dedication and hard work of our players and coaches, Randy (Livingston) and Joel (Abelson), who knows where we would be. And, we aren't done yet...we still have the playoffs."
The Stampede will take on the Toros in Austin tonight. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m. MST. Fans can witch the game live, fore free on nba.com/futurecast.
