Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
The Indiana Ice scored the first goal Friday, but the Waterloo Black Hawks scored the next seven for a 7-1 victory.
The Black Hawks answered Garrett Roe's first period powerplay goal when James Marcou found a wide-open Ryan Cramer between the circles for a score.
Waterloo blitzed Indiana in the second with two goals in the opening three minutes. Matt Arhontas and Kyle Reeds both buried rebound chances. Cramer scored again 6:20 into the middle period, just after the first half of a five-on-three powerplay ended.
In the third, Jan-Mikael Juutilainen found the net after a drop-pass from Mitch Ryan during a rush up ice. Isak Tranvik registered the next two goal on set-ups from Reeds. Ryan Rondeau stopped 20 of 21 shots in the Black Hawk goal.
On Saturday Waterloo hosts the Chicago Steel at Young Arena beginning at 7:05.
