Green Bay, Wisconsin- Casey Wellman scored the game winning goal with just 51 seconds left in regulation- and just 18 seconds after Ian Slater scored the tying goal- as the RoughRiders rallied to pull out a dramatic 3-2 win over the Green Bay Gamblers Friday night.
Slater snapped a Pat Cannone feed home from the right wing circle to even the score at two with 1:09 remaining in the third period.
Seconds later Wellman fired a loose puck past Green Bay goaltender Nick Graves (22 saves) from the high slot to give the Riders their first lead of the night.
The Gamblers had taken a 2-1 lead when Michael Borisenok steered in a Ryan Little centering pass at 10:55 of the second period.
Little's goal came just 1:57 after Mike Seidel drove the puck in off Graves for the Riders first goal of the night.
Green Bay took a 1-0 lead into the second after Sean Murphy buried a rebound to open the scoring with just 55 seconds left in the first period.
