Hawks Scrimmage Set for Saturday

EVERETT - Everett Hawks fans will have their first opportunity to see their team in action this weekend, as the Hawks take to the field at the Snohomish Indoor Soccer Dome for an intra-squad scrimmage. The scrimmage kicks off this Saturday, March 17, at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Fans will be able to see the array of talent that first-year Head Coach Cedric Walker has assembled, including a deep and talented receiving corps led by 2006 af2 Ironman of the Year LaMonte Jones, veteran quarterback Ben Bowling and veteran defensive lineman Shakkor Bryant. After the scrimmage concludes, members of the Hawks and the coaching staff, as well as the Everett Hawks Fan Club, will head back to Everett to clean up Clark Park, 2400 Lombard St., Everett, and will host a barbeque on the park grounds.

Directions to the Snohomish Indoor Soccer Dome from the North:

Take I-5 south to Exit 194 (US-2 East toward Snohomish/Wenatchee). Travel east on US-2 for 8.4 miles and take the 88th St. SE exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp and follow into Snohomish for one mile. Turn right onto Maple Avenue and the Snohomish Indoor Soccer Dome will be on your right shortly after the Snohomish Police Station.

Directions to the Snohomish Indoor Soccer Dome from the South:

Take I-5 north to Exit 186 (128th St. SW / WA-96). Turn right and follow WA-96 for 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Seattle Hill Road / WA-96. Drive 1.5 miles and turn right onto E. Lowell Larimer Road / WA-96. After 1.9 miles, turn left onto WA-9/ Drive for 2.4 miles and take the ramp toward Snohomish. Turn right onto Second St. and drive for 0.9 miles. Turn left onto Maple Avenue and the Snohomish Indoor Soccer Dome will be on your left.

The Hawks will hold an intra-squad scrimmage this Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Snohomish Soccer Dome on Maple Avenue in Snohomish.
