Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are disappointed to announce that Penn State University and All-Big Ten quarterback Zack Mills has decided to end his football career. After four days of impressive play during training camp practices Mills has walked away from football.
"It's sad to see a guy with a lot of potential go. He would have been a good player in this league," stated interim head coach Brett Clark.
"I sensed in the recent practices that Zack was less focused. He feels like playing football isn't for him anymore," said assistant coach Terry Karg when asked about Mills leaving.
The Pioneers' organization wishes Mills the best in his future endeavors.
