
Hawks Lose in Miami

The Carolina RailHawks traveled to Tropical Park in Miami on Friday night for the first of two road matches that will take them to Florida and Puerto Rico. The RailHawks faced former Brazilian International star Zinho and Miami FC in the first of their two meetings this season. The final score was 2-1 in favor of Miami as the Carolina RailHawks played the whole second half a man down with the ejection of Phillip Kutsu in the 45th minute for a hard tackle. The RailHawks finished the match with nine men on the field as team captain Frankie Sanfilippo was sent off in stoppage time after garnering a second yellow card.
Next the RailHawks travel to Puerto Rico where they will face Caleb Norkus' former team, the Islanders, on Sunday July 22nd, before returning home for a hotly contested exhibition game on Tuesday July 25th at 8:00 PM at SAS Soccer Park as they host Club Deportivo Cruz Azul of Mexico's Primera Division. Carolina will return to league play on Saturday July 28th at SAS Soccer Park in Cary at 7:30 PM as they receive a visit from Miami FC.
