
Havoc wins in overtime

Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - James Patterson scored with 2:11 left in overtime lifting the Huntsville Havoc to a 6-5 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths Saturday night in front of 6,025 fans.
The Havoc held a 5-2 lead heading into the third period before Columbus scored three goals, two on the powerplay. Ryan Rutz scored two while Lorne Misita added one.
Huntsville scored first just 5:17 into the game on a powerplay goal by Bill Monkman. Mike McIlveen tied the game at 1-1 with 2:00 left in the first.
Dan Buccella, Jason deGuehery, Monkman and Craig Bushey all scored in the second period helping the Havoc build the lead. Tim Green also scored in the period for Columbus.
Columbus outshot Huntsville 22-5 in the third period and Matt Carmichael made 38 saves to get his 17th win of the season.
