Cyclones Fall to Jacksonville, 7-4
After the announcement of the disbanding of the Florida Seals, the Pee Dee Cyclones were faced with having to meet the Jacksonville Barracudas on Saturday night instead of Friday. The first period saw two goals by the Cyclones. Cyclones' Captain Chris Crombie got on the boards first with a goal at the 2:49 mark. The Barracudas soon answered with two goals of their own, but Pee Dee's Drew Madeiros was able to tie the teams at two a piece going into the second period. Jacksonville took over the second, scoring three goals to Pee Dee's zero. At the end of the second, Jacksonville was up 5-2. The Cyclones attempted to rally early in the third, with goals coming from Eric Frank at the 7:07 mark and Mark Hammersmith. However, the Barracudas' Pat Doherty and Ryan Webb were able to add two more on the night to Jacksonville's total, leaving the final score; Pee Dee 4, Jacksonville 7. The Cyclones will return to home ice on Friday, January 12th as they play host to the Knoxville Ice Bears. It's "NASCAR Night" and "Crazy Hat Night" so don't miss out on this exciting evening. Also, don't forget about the Cyclones' ticket special of "buy one, get one free." For more information, contact the Cyclones' Front Office at 843-432-1234.
