
Havoc Wins Finale Of Three-Game Trip

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc hit the road last weekend for a three-game road trip and lost Thursday in Fayetteville and Friday in Richmond before rebounding with a win in Richmond on Saturday.
Thursday, January 22 (at Fayetteville) - The Fayetteville FireAntz scored three goals in the final 10 minutes erasing a 3-2 Havoc lead and handing Huntsville a 5-3 loss in the first game of a three-game road trip. Stephen Cooke scored two goals for the Havoc while John Ronan added one. Chris Leveille scored two goals for Fayetteville while Rob Sich, Corey Hessler and Marc Norrington all had one each. Chris Collins made 23 saves in the win. Ross Cherry allowed four goals and made 35 saves in the loss.
Friday, January 23 (at Richmond) - The Huntsville Havoc fell behind 3-0 but the rally fell short as the Havoc lost 4-2 to the Richmond Renegades Friday night. Dan Vandermeer, Beau McLaughlin and Matt Larke had given the Renegades a 3-0 lead midway through the second period. John Ronan and Martin Kubaliak both scored powerplay goals to cut the lead to 3-2. Geoff Rollins added an empty net goal with :34 left in the game to seal the win for Richmond. Ross Cherry made 21 saves in the loss while Ryan Scott made 36 in the win. The Havoc outshot Richmond 38-25.
Saturday, January 24 (at Richmond) - Travis Kauffeldt scored two goals and Mike Ronan got his first win of the season as the Huntsville Havoc claimed a 4-3 win over the Richmond Renegades Saturday in the final game of a three-game road trip. Kauffeldt and Ray Ortiz gave the Havoc a 2-0 just five minutes into the game. Matt Larke cut the lead to 2-1 just over a minute later. Paul Falco would give the Havoc a 3-1 lead heading into the first intermission when he scored his first goal as a member of the Havoc. Kauffeldt pushed the lead to 4-1 three minutes into the second period before Ryan Busby scored with 3:23 left in the second to give the Havoc a 4-2 lead after two periods of play. Busby would cut the lead to 4-3 with a powerplay goal with 6:30 left in the game. Michael Ronan got his first win of the season by stopping 39 shots. Ryan Scott made 27 saves in the loss.
