HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc took two games on an important road trip shutting out first place Pensacola on Friday before taking care of Knoxville on Saturday.
Friday, January 21 - Huntsville 1, Pensacola 0
PENSACOLA, FL - Mark Sibbald made 34 saves as the Huntsville Havoc shutout the Pensacola Ice Flyers 1-0 Friday night.
Ryan Kretzer scored the only Havoc goal with 9:40 to go in the game with assists from Kevin Kessler and Kyle McLaughlin.
Ryan Scott allowed one goal and made 29 saves in the loss.
Saturday, January 22 - Huntsville 3, Knoxville 1
KNOXVILLE, TN - Glenn Detulleo scored two goals as the Huntsville Havoc capped a 2-0 weekend with a 3-1 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears Saturday night.
Detulleo scored his first goal with 1:25 left in the first period. He made the score 2-0 with 3:01 gone in the second period.
Eric Slais cut the lead to 2-1 when he scored with 15:31 left in the second period. Ryan Kretzer would push the lead back to 3-1 with a powerplay goal with 8:40 to go in the period.
Mark Sibbald made 24 saves in the win while Bryan Hince made 28 in the loss.
