HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc wrapped up 2011 in a positive way winning three games this past week before dropping the first game of 2012 on Sunday.
Tuesday, December 27 - Huntsville 5, Mississippi RiverKings 3
SOUTHAVEN, MS - Five different Havoc players scored a goal as the Huntsville Havoc went on the road and scored a 5-3 win over the Mississippi RiverKings on Tuesday night.
Dennis Sicard got the Havoc on the board first with 4:35 left in the first period. Deven Stillar tied the game at 1-1 with 1:08 left in the first for the RiverKings.
David Brownschidle put the Havoc back up 2-1 just 2:45 into the second period but Mississippi responded when Mark Magnowski scored on a penalty shot with 15:17 left in the period. Jonathan Lafrance gave the Havoc back the lead with 4:15 left before Magnowski scored on the powerplay with 2:54 left and the game was tied at 3-3 heading into the final period.
Brandon Richardson scored the game-winner with 15:06 left in the game and Glenn Detulleo added an empty-net goal with :15 left to finish the scoring.
Kevin Beech got the start for the Havoc and made 32 saves in the win. Scott Darling made 18 saves in the loss.
Wednesday, December 28 -Knoxville 3, Huntsville 5
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc scored five goals in the second period as the beat the Knoxville Ice Bears 5-3 Wednesday night in front of 5,194 fans.
Dan Bremmer scored first for the Ice Bears with 5:42 left in the first period as Knoxville took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Brandon Richardson tied the game at 1-1 with a powerplay goal with 16:04 left in the second. Jonathan Lafrance followed with another powerplay goal with 12:28 left in the period and the Havoc took a 2-1 lead.
Richardson scored his second of the night with 9:30 remianing in the period and Justin Fox scored what would be the game winner with 5:32 left.
Kevin Swider cut the lead to 4-2 with 3:23 left and Dennis Sicard capped the second period scoring with a powerplay goal with :20 left.
Emery Olauson scored a powerplay goal for Knoxville with 16:25 left in the third period for finish the scoring.
Kevin Beech got the win for the Havoc, his third in a row. He stopped 28 shots. Jesse Kallechy stopped 23 in the loss.
Saturday, December 31 - Huntsville 4, Fayetteville 0
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Kevin Beech made 27 saves as he picked up his fourth straight win since joining the Havoc with a 4-0 shutout win over the Fayetteville FireAntz Saturday afternoon.
Justin Fox put the Havoc on the board early with a powerplay goal with 7:36 left in the first period.
Ryan Kretzer scored with 7:52 left in the second and Rich Schrank scored with :08 left in the second and Havoc had a 3-0 lead after two periods of play.
Mike MacDonald added a goal with 7:14 left in the game to finish the scoring.
Sunday, January 1 - Huntsville 1, Fayetteville 5
FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Huntsville Havoc had their four game winning streak snapped on the first day of 2012 with a 5-1 loss in Fayetteville to the FireAntz on Sunday afternoon.
Josh McQuade and Derek Osborne gave the FireAntz and early 2-0 lead before Greg Brown cut the lead to one late in the first period.
Jesse Biduke tallied a second period goal and Jon Espisito and Kyle McNeil added third period goals to finish the scoring.
Kevin Beech made 28 saves in his first loss since joining the Havoc. Mike Brown made 26 in the win.

Adtran presents the 6th Annual Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund Night. Havoc players will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. Auction proceeds benefit the Neonatal ICU at Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children. The first 1,000 fans who donate an item to the NICU receive a FREE Havoc water bottle, courtesy of Huntsville Hospital Foundation and WHNT. Appropriate items include: blankets, caps, socks, disposable cameras, preemie clothing, etc. Financial donations will also be accepted.
