Havoc snap losing skid, end Florida's winning streak

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Matt Carmichael made 29 saves and was just 1:22 away from his first shutout of the season as the Huntsville Havoc downed the Florida Seals 3-1 Thursday night.

The win snapped a three game losing streak for the Havoc and stopped a seven-game winning streak for the Seals.

Huntsville built a three-goal lead on a first period goal by Jason deGuehery and second period goals by James Patterson and Don Patrick. Mike Degurse, Craig Bushey, Jesse Baraniuk, Jonathan Lounsbury and Mark Cole all had assists for the Havoc.

David Deeves scored for the Seals on a power play goal with 1:22 left in the game. Steve Zoryk and Craig Miller had the assists.

Neither team was impressive on the power play as Huntsville was 1-of-8 and Florida was 1-of-7.

The Havoc will host the Columbus Cottonmouths tomorrow night at 7:35.
