Florida Seals News Release
[HUNTSVILLE, Ala.] -All good things must come to an end and one of those things did Thursday night in Huntsville. The Havoc stopped the Seals seven game win streak with a 3-1 victory.
Huntsville did what the Seals have done for the past three weeks, score early and build a lead. Jason deGuehery scored his second goal of the season to give the Havoc the lead just 5:37 into the game. The Seals had trouble most of the night passing the puck.
Less than two minutes into the second period James Patterson scored his seventh goal of the year to give the Havoc a 2-0 lead. Former Seal Don Patrick would add to the lead near the halfway mark of the middle frame on the power play.
The Seals showed some life in the third period but could not find the net early in the final frame. Florida fired the puck from all angles hitting the post on two occasions and goalie Matt Carmichael on the others. The lone tally for the Seals came when David Deeves scored on the power play at the 18:38 mark.
Saturday the Seals will visit their rival in North Florida for a 7:05 pm game. The two teams will also face off at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on Tuesday night with the same 7:05 pm start time. Both games can be heard locally on 1190 WAMT and around the world at www.wamt1190.com.
