Havoc ends regular season with win

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Huntsville Havoc got two goals from Dan Buccella on their way to a 4-3 win over the Pee Dee Cyclones Saturday night in front of 4,356 fans.

Buccella scored his first goal with 7:34 left in the first period. John Gurskis tied the game with 5:58 left and the score was tied 1-1 after the first period.

Chris Rebernik gave the Cyclones a 2-1 lead with 8:17 left in the second before the Havoc tied the game at 2-2 when Trevor Karasiewicz scored with 6:16 left. Craig Bushey gave the Havoc a 3-2 at the end of the second when he scored with :50 left.

Buccella gave Huntsville a two-goal lead with 16:52 left and Daryl Moore cut the lead to 4-3 with 7:44 to go.

The Havoc outshot Pee Dee 39-12 but failed to convert on three power play chances. Pee Dee was 1-of-2 with the man advantage.

Matt Carmichael stopped nine shots in the win while Leni DiCostanzo stopped 35 in the loss.

The Havoc will travel to Fayetteville Friday night to open the first round of the playoffs against the FireAntz. Game two will be back in Huntsville on Saturday night March 31.
