Havoc Drops Three At Home

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc lost three games at home over the week losing 5-2 to Knoxville on Monday night before back-to-back losses to Twin City on Friday and Saturday.

Monday, December 29 (vs Knoxville) - Mark Van Vliet scored two goals as the Knoxville Ice Bears beat the Huntsville Havoc 5-2 in front of 4,369 fans Monday night. Shaun Norrie, Bobby Joe Pelkey and Mike Carter all added goals for Knoxville. Ray Ortiz and Billy McCreary both scored for Huntsville. Kirk Irving made 36 saves in the win while Ross Cherry made 16 in the loss. The Havoc outshot Knoxville 38-21.

Friday, January 2 (vs Twin City) - The Twin City Cyclones scored three goals in the third period coming back from one-goal down to beat the Huntsville Havoc 6-5 Friday afternoon. Paul Falco, Mark Richard, Brady Heinz, Taylor Hustead, Marc Lefebrve and Ben Manny all scored for the Cyclones, B.J. Radovich, Karlis Zirnis, John Ronan, Ray Ortiz and Jeff Winchester scored for Huntsville. Ross Cherry started for the Havoc and made 22 saves and allowed five goals. Mike Ronan player 12 plus minutes and allowed one goal and made six saves. Kevin Druce made 23 saves to get the win.

Saturday, January 3 (vs Twin City) - The Huntsville Havoc lost their fourth consecutive game at home with a 5-3 setback to the Twin City Cyclones Saturday night. Matt Puntureri led the way with two goals for the Cyclones. Mark Richard, Steve Obelnicki and Donald Melnyk all had one each. Edan Welch, Pat Doherty and Steve Cooke scored for the Havoc. Terry Dunbar made 33 saves in the win while Ross Cherry made 33 in the loss.
