
Havoc beats Knoxville in overtime

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Steve Howard scored with 1:14 left in overtime lifting the Huntsville Havoc to a 3-2 win over the Knoxville Ice Bears.
Doug Merrell put the Havoc on the board first just 19 seconds into the game with assists from Mark Cole and James Patterson.
Knoxville tied the game in the second on a David Bagley power play goal with 15:49 left in the second. Patterson put Huntsville back up when he found the back of the net with 10:32 left in the second.
Knoxville tied the game with 5:21 left in the game on a K.J. Vorhees power play goal.
Matt Carmicheal got the win stopping 40-of-42 shots. New Knoxville goalie Nick Neidert stopped 48-of-51 in the loss. Huntsville was 0-of-5 on the power play and Knoxville was 2-of-8.
Huntsville will host Jacksonville Sunday afternoon at 4:00.
