Hartikainen Recalled by Edmonton

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers recalled forward Teemu Hartikainen from the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

Hartikainen, a 6-1, 215-pounder from Kuopio, FInland, he has played in 48 games, scoring 30 points (14-16-30) for the Barons this season. The Oilers sixth round pick (163rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft has played in 17 games with the Oilers, registering five points (3-2-5). This marks the third time this season Hartikainen has been recalled by the Oilers.

Oklahoma City skates in three games this weekend, all on the road. Friday and Saturday, the Barons take on the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Faceoff Friday night is 7:30 p.m. while Saturday's contest starts at 7 p.m. Sunday, the Barons take on the Houston Aeros, AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild at 5:05 p.m. All three games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
