TULSA, O.K. - In a scrappy, cross-conference battle, Hartford Athletic fell short against FC Tulsa by a 2-0 score in United Soccer League Championship action on Friday night.

Athletic drops to 3-2-4 in the USL Championship while FC Tulsa improves to 4-2-3 overall in league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED.

Hartford had a grade-A chance early on as Jordan Scarlett sent a rocket towards goal in the fourth minute that dinged the top right corner post. In the 33rd minute, Athletic got hold of a strong header towards goal that also came up unsuccessful.

FC Tulsa went ahead 1-0 in the 46th minute as Jamie Webber bested Antony Siaha on a penalty kick.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 61st minute as a short, low cross across the box found the head of Alonzo Clarke, who potted the rock to extend the lead to 2-0.

Hartford was rewarded two corner kicks late in the contest that both proved to be unsuccessful. Despite coming out on the losing end, Athletic held advantages in possession percentage, corner kicks, shots, and shots on target.
