
Harrisburg Takes Down the Wave in Exciting 6-5 Final

On a night when the Harrisburg Heat honored US Women's National Team Legend Christie Rampone, the team then turned in perhaps their biggest win of the season; a gut checking 6-5 final over the South Central division leading Milwaukee Wave. The Heat who led 4-1 in Mississauga on Sunday only to see that lead evaporate, showed amazing grit to hand Milwaukee just their 3rd loss on the season.
Ricardo Carvalho led the HEAT with two goals and an assist, to earn Man of the Match honors. Tavoy Morgan notched two goals in the win for Harrisburg as his tremendous rookie season continues and also had an assist. William Eskay had two assists for Harrisburg with Julian Escobar scoring in his second straight match and also had an assist. Captain Danny DiPrima scored a crucial late fourth quarter goal for the home side. In net, Matt Perrella got the win making six saves. Max Ferdinand and Lucas Oliverio each had two points for Milwaukee.
This is the lone time the Heat and Wave play this season; the last time Milwaukee visited Harrisburg it was the HEAT who by the same 6-5 score on November 12th, 2016.
Harrisburg returns to action tomorrow night again in front of the Harrisburg faithful as they take on their divisional rival Mississauga Metro Stars at 5.05pm EST. Tickets are on sale at www.harrisburgheat.com.
