The Senators open up a six-game homestand with a three-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs which starts Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at FNB Field.

TONIGHT'S GAME The Senators welcome the Portland Sea Dogs to FNB Field for a three-game series to open up a six-game homestand. The Senators are coming off a three-game sweep against Hartford as they took the final game 12-2, limiting the Yard Goats to one hit while Drew Ward knocked six- RBI in the win. This is the first meeting of the season between the Senators and Sea Dogs. The two clubs play just six games this season, beginning with the three games this weekend at FNB Field, and ending with a three-game series in Portland July 23-25.

BEST MARK The Senators are one game above .500 for the first time since April 13 when they were 4-3. The Senators have won 10 their past 12 games and 14 of their past 17 overall. The Senators have won four consecutive road series and have not lost a series since they were swept by Trenton from May 3 to May 6. The Senators' three-game series sweep against Hartford was their second sweep of the season and first road series sweep since May 16-May 18, 2016 against Erie. The Senators have never been two games above .500 this season.

AIN'T IT GRAND Drew Ward launched the Senators first grand slam of the season in the seventh inning Thursday's 12-2 win over Hartford. It's the first Senators grand slam since Osvaldo Abreu hit one on August 8, 2017 at Bowie and the second career slam for Ward. The 23-year-old tied a Senators season-high and reached a new career-high by collecting six-RBI in the game. Since starting the season 3-46, Ward is batting .333 over his past 19 games, with a 1.041 OPS.

DJ TURN IT UP Daniel Johnson finished 4-5 on Tuesday, becoming the third Senators player to record four hits in a game this season. The Vallejo, CA native finished the Hartford series 8-14, with three doubles and five runs scored. Johnson leads all Senators players with 16 multi-hit games this season. The 22-year-old leads the Eastern League with six triples this season.

MAY-FLYING The Senators finished May with a 3.40 ERA, the third lowest mark in the Eastern League. Only Trenton (3.04), and Akron (3.20) had a lower team ERA in the month of May. The Senators ended April with a 4.20 ERA, which was last in the league. The Senators finished May 17-12, tied for the third best record in the Eastern League. SENATORS STARTING PITCHER Kyle McGowin starts the homestand opener for the Senators. The right-hander is 3-1 with a 3.34 ERA across five starts this season. McGowin won the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 21-27 where he struck out 20 batters and allowed just two runs across two starts. PORTLAND STARTING PITCHER Kyle Hart starts the series opener for Portland. The left-hander is 3-3 with a 3.22 ERA over eight starts this season. Hart allowed two runs, one earned, across eight innings in his last start against Reading on May 27. The 25-year-old was originally selected by Boston in the 19th round of the 2016 draft.
