Harrisburg Senators Fanfest Set for Tomorrow, Rain Or Shine

Harrisburg, PA - The Senators annual FanFest is tomorrow, Saturday, April 2, and it's the fans' first opportunity to walk through the gates to Metro Bank Park in 2011. FanFest has something for everyone and admission and parking are free! Gates open at 11 a.m. and the festivities run until 2 p.m. Rain or shine, make plans to spend part of your day with us tomorrow at Metro Bank Park.

The Faulkner Honda Kids Zone inflatables are available for kids to enjoy free of charge. Rascal and Grrrounder invited their mascot friends to join them at FanFest for a mascot party. Kids can join the 2011 Senators Capital BlueCross Kids Club and get their face painted in the Kids Zone as well.

The Senators Team Store is having a Grand Reopening for 2011 during FanFest. The Senators have been busy getting the store stocked with new items for the season and this is the fans' first opportunity to check them out! Select 2010 items will be on sale during FanFest to make room for the new 2011 merchandise. The store is open during FanFest and is open beginning Monday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m.

The Senators Box Office will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. giving fans a chance to purchase tickets to any game during the 2011 season. Season Ticket Holders can stop by the Box Office during FanFest to pick up their 2011 Season Tickets.

Tours of Metro Bank Park will be available during FanFest. Tours will include the clubhouse, corporate suites, Patriot News Press Box Club, press area, radio booths and television control room. The tours will last approximately 20 minutes.

The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank will have their Blood Mobile outside the stadium during FanFest. Fans that donate blood receive vouchers good for any Senators regular season home game in 2011.

Senators' fans can try their luck at Wii Home Run Derby in a corporate suite. The fan with the highest score at the end of the day will win a free single game suite rental for 2011.

New for FanFest this year is a college double-header. The Senators welcome Messiah College and Lebanon Valley College as they square off at noon for two seven-inning games. Messiah College has a tie to the Senators as Senators pitcher Erik Arnesen has a younger brother that is a member of their baseball squad.

Food will be available for purchase in two locations during the FanFest, The Rally Galley and Championship Way Pizza concession stands will be open and serving ballpark staples such as hot dogs, popcorn and soda.

The historic 25th season of Senators baseball opens on Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. against the Bowie Baysox (Orioles). Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets are available by either going online at www.senatorsbaseball.com or by phoning the Senators at 717-231-4444.
