The Moncton Wildcats reeled off their 6th win in seven games - doubling the Gatineau Olympiques 4-2 at the Avenir Centre before almost 4,000 fans in Friday night QMJHL action.
First Star centreman Vincent Labelle set up three goals to pace the attack. The Cats offence struck for two powerplay goals, from Charles Beaudoin, his 4th, and defenseman Etienne Morin, his 6th.
Yoan Loshing and defenseman Francesco Iasenza also scored as Moncton held period leads of 2-0 and 3-1.
Jacob Steinman logged another outstanding effort with 29 saves while the Wildcats directed 30 shots at Emerik Despatie.
Gatineau had a 6-on-4 powerplay to end the game but the Cats 'Defended the Den'.

On the season, the Wildcats improve to 7-3-0-1 and host the Saint John Sea Dogs Sunday at 4pm at the Avenue Centre.
