DES MOINES, IA - On Saturday, January 27, the Des Moines Buccaneers will welcome three legends of hockey to the "Madhouse on Hickman", 95KGGO Arena. Fans will be treated to the pandemonium of the notorious Hanson Brothers, stars of the 1977 classic hockey movie "Slap Shot." Jeff Carlson, Steve Carlson, and Dave Hanson will be on hand to, perform, sign autographs and interact with fans as the Buccaneers take on the Indiana Ice Saturday night.
Catch one of the Hanson Brothers LIVE, on 95KGGO Thursday, January 25 at 8:15 am during the Lou, Round Guy and Heather Morning Show and on KXNO 1460AM at 5:10 pm for the Marty and Miller Show. They will also make an appearance at Stivers Ford at 1450 E Highway 6 in Waukee from 1-2 pm on Saturday afternoon.
The Hanson Brothers gained popularity through their central roles in the 1977 movie "Slap Shot," which chronicled the exploits of the Charlestown Chiefs, a down-and-out minor league hockey team. Steve and Jeff Carlson, as well as Dave Hanson, portrayed the Hanson brothers in the film, players, whose overly-aggressive style of play wins the hearts and admiration of fans, and results in a winning team. The Hanson Brothers currently tour the world throughout the year making appearances and entertaining fans.
