
Skjodt commits to Nebraska-Omaha

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Jake Skjodt has committed to play collegiate hockey for the University of Nebraska-Omaha beginning in the fall of 2008.
In only his first year in the USHL, Skjodt has joined the ranks of the USHL's top snipers as he has made an immediate impact with a team-high 17 goals and 11 power play goals.
"Jake is the type of player that just keeps improving," said Ice Head Coach Jack Bowkus.
"He is a very good hockey player and a fine young man."
Skjodt joins teammates Mike Phillippi, Eric Olimb, and John Kemp in his decision to play at Nebraska-Omaha where he will join two other former Ice players in defenseman Eddie Del Grosso and forward Tomas Klempa.
The University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks are a member of the Division I Central Collegiate Hockey Association, a league that also features such hockey schools as the Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
