Batavia Muckdogs News Release

Batavia, NY - First baseman Bryan Hansen continued his red-hot hitting as the Muckdogs beat the Mahoning Valley Scrappers by a score of 5-3.

Hansen took a Scott Roehl fastball deep over the right-field fence in the bottom of the first inning to give Batavia an early 2-0 lead. Teammate Jake Blalock who walked following Hansen's shot came around to score on an error by Mahoning Valley Right fielder Ryan Goleski.

Flash ahead to the fifth inning, Hansen walked this time to reach base, Blalock singled, and Designated Joe Brunink cleared the bases with a triple down the right field line. The Muckdogs led for good at this point and would never look back.

Not to be outdone by his teammates Muckdog Center fielder Javon Moran was 3 of 5 with a run scored. Moran entered the night hitting a solid .323.
