HAMILTON, ON - In their 900th regular season game in franchise history, the Hamilton Bulldogs dropped the Binghamton Senators by a score of 5-1 at Copps Coliseum on Friday night. The win snaps the 'Dogs two-game losing streak and lifts their record to 8-9-0-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 16:43 of the opening period when Sergei Kostitsyn's wrist shot deflected off two Binghamton defenders before finding the back of the net. Mathieu Carle and Corey Locke earned assists on Kostitsyn's sixth goal of the campaign.

At 11:04 of the middle stanza, Hamilton increased its lead to 2-0 when Duncan Milroy fired a high wrist shot over the glove hand of netminder Jeff Glass. Mikhail Grabovski, playing in his first game of the season, drew the lone helper on Milroy's fifth tally of the year.

Matt D'Agostini then scored his sixth goal of the season just 1:26 into the final frame to give the Bulldogs a three-goal lead. Glass stopped Eric Manlow's initial shot, but D'Agostini stuffed home the rebound after the puck bounced off the top of the net.

The 'Dogs took a 4-0 lead at 6:15 of the third period when Janne Lahti snapped a shot to the top right corner of the net. Locke and Andrew Archer assisted on the goal.

Binghamton cut into Hamilton's lead at 8:31 of the final stanza, making it 4-1 on a goal by Matt Kinch. Justin Mapletoft earned the lone helper on the Senators only scoring play of the contest.

Locke restored the Bulldogs four-goal margin at 15:24 of the third period with a power-play marker. Kostitsyn and Lahti each earned their second point of the game with assists on the goal.

Hamilton netminder Yann Danis turned aside 26 of 27 shots to earn the victory, while Glass made 29 saves on 34 shots in a losing effort for Binghamton.

The Bulldogs went 1-for-5 with the man advantage while the Senators were unable to convert on their lone opportunity on the power play.

- Corey Locke (59-115-174) is now two points behind Tomas Plekanec (71-105-176) for second place on the Bulldogs all-time scoring list, and needs six points to overtake Brain Swanson (71-108-179) and become Hamilton's all-time leading scorer - Ajay Baines played his first game of the season for the Bulldogs and was named captain of the Club prior to the game - Play-by-Play Broadcaster Derek Wills called his 500th consecutive regular season game
